S-Mart is a virtual currency-based
marketplace for its members to come together, and share and market their
content. The virtual currency used in this marketplace is the
"token." S-Mart is supported
by the research project “Innovations in Architectures in
Content Sharing" at the School of
Engineering and Applied Sciences at Princeton University.
S-Mart is currently open to anyone with a Facebook account
to members of the Princeton University community.
You can generate tokens in S-Mart (i) by registering with S-Mart and earning free tokens in your account, (ii) by selling your content items to other members, and (iii) by checking content requests and responding to them. You can spend these
tokens by purchasing content published by other members.
S-Mart enables you to buy and sell your course notes, past
quizzes and many other types of digital content using a fixed price or auction.
The S-Mart auction and the fixed
price transaction are two options available for you to share your
content with other members. If you need a specific content item, you can
request it by means of content request capability of S-Mart. If you wish to
share your files with only some of your specific friends, you can do it so by
forming your user groups by means of group formation capability of S-Mart.
Content rating capability of S-Mart allows you to leave feedback about the
content items that you bought. The further details regarding how to use these
fun capabilities of S-Mart are provided for you below.
Overall S-Mart provides a full and
rich set of features for online content sharing such as content transactions,
content request, group formation, and content rating. Content transactions are
designed for you to share your content items with other S-Mart members. Figure
